About Kyle & MAD Precision Labs
Kyle Higgins, Founder
Built on Real Manufacturing Experience
MAD Precision Labs was founded by me, Kyle Higgins, after spending years on the hiring and management side of manufacturing and repeatedly running into the same problem: finding people with experience that actually translates to the shop floor.
After more than two decades in the industry, including over a decade in leadership roles, I saw firsthand how difficult it is for shops to onboard and develop talent while keeping production moving. Most companies hire internally, often starting people in essential entry-level roles. Those roles matter, but they don’t always build the broader understanding required in modern manufacturing environments, especially in industries like defense, semiconductor, and medical.
I’ve worked across nearly every role in manufacturing, from manual and CNC machinist, welder, and CMM programmer, to safety coordinator and ISO 9001 internal auditor, and later in leadership roles including precision assembly manager, quality control manager, and staff development manager. Along the way, I built training programs and supported workforce development efforts at scale.
Long before that, I grew up around manufacturing. My father ran a successful company back east, and from a young age I spent time in shops and traveling to meet customers across the New England area. That early exposure shaped how I understand different shop environments and the real constraints they operate under.
MAD Precision Labs exists to close the gap between traditional training and real manufacturing work. My focus is practical, job-ready education that supports both individual growth and business performance, and holds up under real production conditions.
Training Philosophy
I operate on a simple principle: Education should prepare people for how manufacturing actually works. Whether I’m working with an individual professional or a manufacturing organization, the goal is the same: build skills that translate directly to the shop floor and hold up under real manufacturing conditions and pressure.
